Big week!

This week was busy as, we had a super fun Zone Pday (hiked to the beach), Zone Conference, Half Mission Conference with the Church's Historian Elder Snow (had a gay time with that with my love for History), and interviews with President, oh and transfers around the corner, and MAN am I tired. Haha.

Congrats Skybekah for the baby girl! I was praying hard for that one! And Kelsi! I'm sure she's had her baby by now right? And Carrie for her 9 pounder baby, not surprised, not surprised. Man you've been gone fore 9 months and everyone is ready to pop some babies.

This week was busy but also hard, I expressed to President I was tired of pushing others to do what's right whether it'd be companions, investigators, less actives (holy, they are frustrating), members and such. With little progress. However Isaiah 42:6-7 has brought me a lot of comfort, "I've called thee, and will hold thine hand" I know that he has called me to do this work because he knows I can do it and that I'm not at it alone.

Dad reminded me that this week will be the year mark of Grandma Beck's passing and my Endowment. Wow that was fast. Family I want you to know, that the veil is very thin when you are a missionary. Angels are with us on our left and our right helping us with this work. I've felt Grandma helping me out as I've testified and taught about the Plan of Salvation, the Temple and Eternal Families. I know that she is proud of our eternal family. I also know that what I am teaching to these people is very real and true. Please send my love to Brad and Grandpa Beck this week.

I leave this simple testimony with you guys in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Sister Beck

-Tried to do a cool jumping picture..and Elder Leal trying to photo bomb. Both fails.
-We got tired of jumping so we just settled for this haha
-Washed up Jelly Fish!
-"How sufficient is your faith Sister Beck?" Just call me Peter walking on water...or is that Sacrilegious? Lol
-Elder Tuitubou: from Fiji, Sister Doig: Canada, Elder Iotua: Tahiti, Elder Anderson: Idaho, Elder Mommers: Tasmania, Elder Elieis: Micronesia. Only a mission would bring us together and make us friends!

-The plane! It's just too far away! Haha inside joke the mission has when you've got a long way to go on your mission.

Happy Easter

Hello familia. What a great Easter weekend amiright?

Easter is pretty cool here. We're next to heaps of chapels by our flat, one is a Catholic chapel and  there was Catholic ministers preaching outside speaking on their podium, felt like 1820 lol. And then there were the Asians doing this Buddha worship ceremony. The Monks gathered in a school building and they had microphones and were singing their chants for like 3 day straight, I kid you not. Then there's the Muslims doing their own little gathering. It's pretty cool how all religions celebrate it in their own way. That's why they have the missionaries to tell them what Easter is really about :) no worries!

We did heaps of finding this week showing the new Easter video the church came out with on mormon.org, sooo good. Had a lot of people shut is down which was fun, all goods. You just say, "see you on judgement day" and move on lol. Jokes. Nah there was this one Italian guy, Arthur we talked with, said he wasn't interested and then I said,  "I'll see ya in heaven Arthur!" Then he said, "Darling, I'll wait for you at the gate, because I'll die before you" haha sweet old man. Then we walked passed this couple and the boyfriend was yelling at his girlfriend (stupid boyfriend) and the girl looked up at me and I gave her a smile and just said, "hello". Her frown went upside down and gave me a smile back. It was so simple. Not a crazy spiritual experience I know. Should I have shared with her the gospel? Probably. But sometimes you just gotta be the message instead of share the message. It's beautiful to have Easter to remind us to be like our Saviour always. Remember to be the message this week and be like our Saviour!

Love yous!

Sister Beck

-We had a combine zone Pday last monday and had a "Stake of Origin" Footie tournament. Prariewood zone is destroying the whole mission. This toilet seat is the prize...
-The winners! Us sisters were really good cheerleaders haha. Jokes we played a little touch on the side and supported our Elders.
-Found 'Omaha Street'!
-Sister Sanft posing haha what a stunner.
-Spent last night with Sister Stetson! Her last night before she went home! Love that sister.

Conference

Ayye was conference great or what??

I loved some of the themes that were spoken. I told my mission President that he would be pleased to hear that one of those themes I heard from the Spirit was obedience! Haha and to be ALL IN this work. I love that, why give just a little bit of ourselves to the church, this gospel, to the Saviour? So happy to hear that our family is thrusting in their sickle and taking our part in the Lord's work. Remember Joaquin E. Costa's talk and be reminded of the times that you became converted to the Saviour. I loved his counsel even though it was towards investigators, to pay attention to your feelings at church, experience repentance, and ask if the Book of Mormon is true! We can all be reminded of those simple truths that bring great blessings.

Love you heaps!
