Polynesian are the biggest people and the biggest softies

Church yesterday was incredible and probably one of the best Sundays of my life.

It was a really powerful Sacrament meeting followed by with our Ward Conference later that night and all of the big Tongans were bawling! They were a wreck crying every 10 mins, reminded me of Dad! Haha jokes jokes ;) It was pretty funny though.

We felt all of your prayers this week despite HEAPS of opposition Ayuen, went into the waters of baptism. I honestly can't even describe what that day was like, it was unbelievable is all I can say. The spirit was so strong. Ayuen said in her testimony that all of 2016 she was lost, and as soon as she came out of the water she felt like she was coming home. It reminded me that there are so many people out there that are lost and are desperately looking. The only people who can help them is us, not just missionaries, but members of His church. We have a huge responsibility guys! So get out there and talk to some people! Okay I'll step off my pedestal lol. Sunday she was confirmed a member and 3 of our Less active families who haven't been to church in a long as time came which was truly a miracle. Me and my soa had to teach our missionary Gospel Principles class and Relief Society and found out about it an hour before church #missionaryprobs so i think Heavenly Father was rewarding us from that lol.

Solid as week, one of the best on my mission :)

Love you all,
Sister Beck

-Sister Doig!!! I think I've gotten her to love tracting now haha.
-Ayuen is glowing! She said she can't wait to wear that dress to the temple next :)
-Ayuen is LOVED by the Sisters haha and she LOVES us Sisters!
-Her husband came to the baptism which was a HUGE miracle. He's hard out Muslim so it was a big step for him to even set foot in the chapel. His hard softened immensely when Ayuen bore her testimony and he might be taking the lessons soon! Prayers would be appreciated!! Oh and Bishop Faleta baptized her :)
-Fooling around while we were waiting for President to interview Ayuen for her interview. He said he's never interviewed anyone in the park late at night before haha!
-And then us fooling around while we waited for them to finish their interview haha. It was creepy as in the middle of that park
-Don't mess.

Faith Brings Miracles

It has been a testimony growing week receiving so many miracles.

We have a less active family that we see almost every day. Their family is facing some serious hardship and one of them being that they were going to be evicted and homeless in just a few days if they didn't pay the rent and their kids would be taken from them. I studied this talk about faith thanks to Dallas and it said that "Faith is complete and total trust in the Lord". It talked of an example about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego when they would be cast into the fire furnace. They had faith that the Lord would protect them from it, but if not, then they would trust in the Lord's plan for them. Now Abinadi in the Book of Mormon was also cast in the fire. Which one survived? Does that mean Abinadi had less faith then Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego? No. Faith is having complete and  total trust in the Lord's plan for us.

Mosiah 23:21-22 it says, "The Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea he trieth their patience and their faith. Nevertheless-whosoever puteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day." Our last meeting with this family I had a loss of comfort words to share with them. All I could think of was the word faith. And to not lose it. One of my favorite quotes by President Eyring is, "Acting on even a twig of faith, allows God to grow it." My dear family, never lose your faith and trust in the Lord. He will deliver us, if not during this trial, in the next, and if not in that one, in the next, or if it comes to it, in the next life. And all things will be made right and miracles will happen. After the trial of all of our faith, the Lord delivered and we saw a miracle happen. They will not be getting evicted and their family will be staying together.

In other news, Ayuen is still getting baptized this Saturday the 25th at 5pm, in case you want to throw in a prayer at that time for her ;) Lots of prayers would be appreciated! She is so ready. I love you all!

Sister Beck

-Isn't she adorable?
-Thandar and the boys came up with Sister Barron (one of the best members (EVER shout out to you Sister Barron!) from Canberra) to do Baptisms in the temple for the first time!! It was an AMAZING experience!
-Okay. Totally random story, but one of my friends from BYU had a companion that was from Sydney and we skyped before I left on my mission and we said, "Hey it would be pretty crazy if we saw each other in Sydney" to each other. And then we saw each other at the temple..It's a crazy small as Mormon world lol.
-Angus and Clive! Missed those little punks.
-So I forgot to tell you guys last week when I drove to Canberra, I drove the unlimited amount of Kilometers, Assistant to the President's, minivan. Yup, just call me the Sister AP.

Crazy fun week!!!

OKay so sorry I didn't email you guys last week. It was just that crazy and I didn't have time to email.

Welp, my soa Sister Villanueva got emergency transferred to the coast and now, I'm a mom! And it's a girl! My new companion is from Canada and she's a HICK! Haha I love it honestly, she has that MTC fire that I can smell off of her and we just role with it and have been seeing so many miracles! There were like 5 new sisters coming in and she was the only palangi (white person) and I was the only palangi trainer and President put us together! (that's very rare) She's my first palangi companion but don't worry i'm turning her into Samoan :)

Anyway the work is going in good ole Bankstown! Do you guys remember the woman Priesthood holder I told you about awhile ago? Well that is our investigator, Ayuen (yes it sounds like the name from Lord of the Rings). She is getting baptized next Saturday the 25th! She was on date like a month ago, I just kind of forgot to tell you all haha my bad. The ward loves her, she is from Sudan, mother of 4, her husband is Muslim, she is 28 yrs old and super cheeky haha. She reminds me of my recent convert in Canberra, Stephanie.

Which brings me to my next exciting news...President loves me so much he let me roadtrip to Canberra the other day and see my recent converts Stephanie and Thandar!!! Oh how I've missed them! We got 2 brand new sisters from the states that flew in on Friday and so President had me take them along with my other new companion. Haha so I was training 3 greenies in the 49 degree Celcius weather in the HEAT of Australia. And we door knocked for like 3 hours...haha. I may have messed with them and I may have made them hate me for it haha. Later on my soa actually said that she was so mad at me, she didn't want to talk to me hahaha. Ahh man what a ride.

Anyway I'll finish the email with some pics. But yeah, SUCH a fun week.

-Since it was pretty crazy last Pday with the emergency transfers, President felt pretty bad and let us go to the coast for a mini 2 hour P day.
-It was beautiful
-I'm gonna miss my soa!
