We have a less active family that we see almost every day. Their family is facing some serious hardship and one of them being that they were going to be evicted and homeless in just a few days if they didn't pay the rent and their kids would be taken from them. I studied this talk about faith thanks to Dallas and it said that "Faith is complete and total trust in the Lord". It talked of an example about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego when they would be cast into the fire furnace. They had faith that the Lord would protect them from it, but if not, then they would trust in the Lord's plan for them. Now Abinadi in the Book of Mormon was also cast in the fire. Which one survived? Does that mean Abinadi had less faith then Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego? No. Faith is having complete and total trust in the Lord's plan for us.
Mosiah 23:21-22 it says, "The Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea he trieth their patience and their faith. Nevertheless-whosoever puteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day." Our last meeting with this family I had a loss of comfort words to share with them. All I could think of was the word faith. And to not lose it. One of my favorite quotes by President Eyring is, "Acting on even a twig of faith, allows God to grow it." My dear family, never lose your faith and trust in the Lord. He will deliver us, if not during this trial, in the next, and if not in that one, in the next, or if it comes to it, in the next life. And all things will be made right and miracles will happen. After the trial of all of our faith, the Lord delivered and we saw a miracle happen. They will not be getting evicted and their family will be staying together.
In other news, Ayuen is still getting baptized this Saturday the 25th at 5pm, in case you want to throw in a prayer at that time for her ;) Lots of prayers would be appreciated! She is so ready. I love you all!

-Okay. Totally random story, but one of my friends from BYU had a companion that was from Sydney and we skyped before I left on my mission and we said, "Hey it would be pretty crazy if we saw each other in Sydney" to each other. And then we saw each other at the temple..It's a crazy small as Mormon world lol.

-So I forgot to tell you guys last week when I drove to Canberra, I drove the unlimited amount of Kilometers, Assistant to the President's, minivan. Yup, just call me the Sister AP.
