Best. Week. Ever.

THANDAR AND ANGUS GOT BAPTIZED AND MY HEART IS SO GIDDY!

I know I'm so lucky to have gotten two baptisms right away in my mission but I also know that it had nothing to do with me. These two have been prepared by Heavenly Father! Everytime we go to teach them I see that. Ugh what a blessing it has been to be apart of it. I'd love to tell you all about the baptism because it's pretty much been the highlight of my life and week haha.

So before the baptism there was sooo much opposition, of course right? We couldn't find Thandar a dress or anyone to baptize Thandar. Our Ward Mission Leader very much wanted to baptize her because he's been very involved with their conversion. But the day of her baptism he had to go to a work meeting in Melbourne BUT he decided this was more important and to skip his work meeting. However, his grandmother passed away the following day so he then had to leave to New Zealand to be with his family. With so much discouragement and worry that Thandar would change her mind after facing this opposition, we told Thandar and her response was, "It's okay, I can get baptized by anyone on any day" Thandar just freaking wanted to get baptized no matter what. Gahhh! I love her. She is such an example to me and has such great faith. The day of their baptism was truly amazing. SOO many kpeople in our ward came and legit brought a buffet (not even kidding) of food for afterwards haha blessed those Islanders. My ward is the bomb just saying. They do so much member missionary work. Anyways, the baptism was so humbling to be apart of. Hands down one of my favorite days I've ever lived haha is that an exaggeration?? Nope! My smile was so wide, my face hurt and my eyes were watering (not crying ;) ) when they both went down in the font. Afterwards I spoke to Thandar and asked how she felt and she said, "I feel like a new person, I"m so happy".

Before I peace out I'll quote one of my favorite movies, "The Other Side of Heaven" when the father sends off his missionary to Tonga he says, "For God so Loved the world, He gave his only begotten son. I don't know any one in Tonga to love enough to send my son, but I guess God does." Whether we have a knowledge of it or not, God loves ALL his children. He loves these people in Australia so much, that he called these powerful missionaries that I get to work with to teach His children this message. THAT HE LOVES THEM! What a privilege it is to be His instrument. To bring his children back into the fold. Thandar and Angus's baptism was truly humbling to be apart of.

I love this work I love being a missionary and I love His children in Australia!

Hurrah for Israel!
